Preliminary planning tasks

Before you begin using Fathom Replication, you must perform some preliminary tasks. Specifically, you must:

Create a database backup plan.
Evaluate your production database.
Note: Fathom Replication requires activation of after-imaging on the source database. If you are unfamiliar with after-imaging, see OpenEdge Data Management: Database Administration .
